iPing has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for the iPing web sites as well as our applications. Use of Information by Our Applications When you download iPing's applications or use its web site, you give to iPing personal identification information such as your e-mail address (hereinafter referred to as "Identity Information") as well as mailing address information about (hereinafter referred to as "Demographic Information"). iPing applications are interactive Internet applications that automatically communicate with iPing when you install or uninstall iPing software, and when you use it to retrieve information from the Internet. When you access Programs using the Software, it sends the Programs you are accessing along with relevant product and Internet communication information to iPing. iPing does not associate Program access with individuals without express consent. This information is sent so that iPing can display appropriate advertising, and for aggregate, anonymous statistical analysis. If iPing requests general demographic information, this information is limited to reporting purposes only; members remain anonymous. Phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and postal addresses are never shared for demographic reports with outside entities. iPing may set a cookie in your browser for some applications that require cookies. Security This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. iPing will always protect the personal information that you share with us. iPing stores information internally in a controlled, secure environment. If you make a purchase online, we route all transactions through SSL (Secure Socket Layers) and will process your credit card number only to secure your current payment. The SSL transaction does not retain your credit card number subsequent to the transaction at hand and will not use the number for marketing purposes. Supplementation of Information This site and our applications supplement the information that you provide with information that is received from third parties. Client side data is sometimes cross-referenced with server log data to verify size of membership. Special Relationships iPing provides some partner sites with co-branded or custom applications. These applications collect all of the above data. iPing may occasionally present a special contest or promotion that is sponsored by another company. To qualify for entry, we may ask you to provide personal information. If we plan to share that information with the sponsor(s), we will provide an up-front statement to that effect. Children's Guidelines Our applications and our website DOES NOT MEET the Online Privacy Protection Act guidelines because our applications and our website allows children to post or distribute any personally identifiable information without first obtaining verifiable parental consent.
